Captain Stanley Day, adjutant of No 2 Commando, was awarded the Military Cross in recognition of gallant and distinguished services during Operation Chariot, the raid on St. Nazaire. Embarked with Lt. Col. Newman's HQ party on MGB 314. Prisoner of war after the raid. Post war emigrated to USA.
