Marine Leslie Turner, HQ 3 Commando Bde. RM,  was killed when the truck he was in surprised bandits in the act of robbing a bus in the Gopeng-Kampar hills, Malaya. Buried in Batu Gajah (later exhumed, cremated at Sek Keng Cheng Crematorium, Kuala Lumpur and ashes returned to UK).

Marine Bryan Underwood received a Mention in Despatches for gallant and distinguished service in operations in Brunei during the period 8-22 December 1962.

Corporal Andrew Uren died during operations on the Falkland Islands. He was part of a returning patrol from 45 Commando when they were mistaken by British forces for the enemy. He was killed along with Sgt. Robert Leeming, Cpl. Peter Fitton, and Mne. Keith Phillips.
