Marine Thompson was from Stapenhill, Burton upon Trent. He joined the Royal Marines in 1946. His brother died in WWII. T/4929118 Driver William Harry Thompson, R.A.S.C., was accidently killed 12 October 1944. Sons of Charles William and Amy Thompson, of Stapenhill, Burton-on-Trent.
