Ronald Voller served in the Middle East Commando and the Special Raiding Squadron (SRS). He took part in two operations with the SRS in Sicily at Capo di Morro Porco and at Augusta. He left the SRS returning to his unit on 16 August 1943.

He possibly progressed into the ME Commando from No.11 Commando which embarked for the Middle East as part of Layforce and was later disbanded. Awaits confirmation or otherwise from Service Record.
