Roland William Milsted, an Aircrfraft Fitter's Mate from Bristol, enlisted into the Royal Marines on 23 March 1942 later joining 41RM Commando. Marine Milsted was captured and a prisoner of war on 6 June 1944 during operations at Normandy, France.
