Robert Charles Willers, a Builders Labourer, enlisted in the Royal Artillery on 15 January 1940. He later volunteered for the commandos. Gunner Willers, No.6 Commando, was reported missing 14 December 1942 during operations in Tunisia, later confirmed prisoner of war having been captured on 15 December. He remained in captivity until May 1945.
