Marine Robert Denmark died in Sicily. Son of Robert and Margaret Denmark, of Tollcross, Glasgow. He was one of 5 commandos who died from injuries sustained in the accidental explosion of an ammunition truck and is buried in a collective grave with Marines Albert Wise, Ernest Porter, and Frank Spencer.
