Rifleman Peter McCurrie, formerly of No.6 Commando in WW2, died during operations in Korea serving with the Royal Ulster Rifles. He was a prisoner of war at the time of his death. Remembered on the UN Memorial Wall at Pusan, and his name is also inscribed on the War Memorial at Frizington, Cumbria.
