Corporal Maurice Tennick served in No.12 and later No.1 Commando. He was promoted Corporal in No.1 Commando on 2 February 1944.
Maurice Tenninick was a Police Officer who volunteered in 1942 for the Commandos and joined the 2nd Police Intake to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry. In 1939 he was a Police Constable residing at 50 Falstaff Road, Tynemouth.
