Served in France from 14 to 29 May 1940, later volunteering for the Commandos. Medically discharged 4 July 1941. Awarded the 1939-43 Star, 1939-45 Star and the War Medal.
Originally from Aylesbury Edward moved to Luton after the war working as a painter and decorator. Member of the Commando Association. Attended Leagrave British Legion for many years.
