Donald Murray Moore, a Fisherman from Lowestoft, enlisted into the Royal Marines on 5 March 1939. He joined 46RM Commando which was formed August 1943. Corporal Moore, 'B' Troop, was captured 11 June 1944 during operations at Rots, France. 10 April 1945 escaped whilst being moved camp and hid until Germany surrendered.
