Anthony Bruce Diplock enlisted into the Armed Forces on 17 June 1940, civil occupation Clerk. Attached No.4 Commando after volunteering for special service. Lance Corporal Diplock was reported missing 19 August 1942 during operations at Dieppe, later confirmed wounded and prisoner of war. Liberated in 1945. Address at time given as Troon, Ayrshire. Post war member of the Commando Association last known residing Broadstairs, Kent.
