Cemetery/Memorial:
Gunner Clifford Peel, from Stockport, and a veteran of the Dieppe raid, died of wounds from a grenade after an accident on 22 April 1943 at a firing range at Fort de L'Eau, Algeria. Son of Peter and Agnes Peel, of Stockport, Cheshire. A former pupil from Denton Council School he worked as a grocery assistant before joining the Army in 1940.
