Clifford Morgan, a joiner's apprentice from Liverpool, enlisted into the Armed Forces on 25 April 1941 later volunteering for the Commandos. Private Morgan was reported missing 19 August 1942 during operations at Dieppe, France, subsequently confirmed wounded and a prisoner of war. He escaped from a working party at Neustadt on 30 January 1945 but was re-captured hiding in a barn. Repatriated 16 May 1945. member of the Commando Association.
