Henry Alfred Cheeseman, a Lorry Driver from South London, volunteered for the commandos after enlisting, joining No.7 Commando which formed 'A' Bn., of Layforce when deployed to the Middle East. He was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations at Crete, later confirmed wounded and a prisoner of war. Post war member of the Commando Association. Emigrated to Ontario, Canada.
