Trooper Charles Morris, 6 Troop, was wounded 15 March 1944 during operations in Burma. Charles Henry Morris joined the Plymouth City Police 18 August 1939 and resided at Woodhey, Plymouth. After volunteering for commando service he joined the 3rd Police Intake at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry, commencing 15 October 1942. Served in the Commandos until 30 January 1946 re-joining the Plymouth City Police the following day. Member of the Commando Association. He died on 13 June 1955 after a short illness whilst still serving in the Police.
