Lance Sergeant George Horne was wounded and a prisoner of war after operations at Dieppe on 19 August 1942. Initially reported as killed in action this later being corrected. Enlisted 13 October 1932 former occupation Showman. Post war member of the Commando Association from Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
