Ronald Albert Port, a Clerk from Surbiton, Surrey, enlisted on 5 June 1940 later volunteering for the commandos. Lance Sergeant Port, No.3 Commando, was reported missing on 7 June 1944 during operations at Normandy, France, subsequently found to be a prisoner of war.
