Marine O'Connor 46 Commando
George Oliver O'Connor from Stoke on Trent enlisted into the Ryal Marines 24 April 1939, civil occupation Farm Worker. Marine O'Connor joined 46RM Commando after their formation in August 1943 and served in 'B' Troop. He was captured and a prisoner of war on 11 June 1994 during operations in Normandy, France.
