Denis Dumper from Brentford enlisted into the Armed Forces on 30 June 1931 aged 15. In 1940 he volunteered for special service and was subsequently attached to the newly formed No.3 Commando. Corporal Dumper was reported missing after Operation Ambassador, a raid on Guernsey in July 1940, later confirmed a prisoner of war until 1 May 1945. Released from military service 22 April 1946. Trade/Qualification - Motor Mechanic.
