Herbert Clark 48RM Commando
Marine Herbert Clark died during operations at Sallenelles, Normandy, France. Son of Sydney James Clark, and of Matilda Winifred Clark, of Hawthorne Road, Bootle, Lancashire.
Herbert Clark was educated at St. Paul's School, Kirkdale. Prior to joining the Armed Forces he was employed at Johnson's dye works in Litherland. Active service included Sicily and Italy.
