Notes
The CWGC list his unit only as HMS Saunders. This was a Combined Training Centre shore base at Kabrit in the Middle East responsible for accomodation and training. Source 3 records "Able Seaman Thomas from the 'O3' Commando cutting out operation was found wounded on the jetty".
It is this Archive's belief that he was involved in Operation Brassard but his Commando service needs to be verified through service record when available.
