Alfred James Turner was a Cabinet Maker from Bow East London prior to enlisting into the Armed Forces on 22 August 1940. He volunteered for special service and was attached to No.1 Commando. Gunner Turner was reported missing 4 March 1943 during operations at Sedjenane, Tunisia.
