Harry Williams, a former Steel Turner from Rochdale, was commissioned 11 July 1942. Lieutenant Williams, No.3 Commando, was reported wounded and missing at Sallenelles, Normandy, on 7 June 1944, later confirmed prisoner of war 9 June 1944. Post war member of the Commando Association residing Presall, Lancashire.
