Lieutenant Jason Blackwell RN received a Mention in Despatches in recognition of gallant and distinguished service on operations in Iraq during the period 19 March to 19 April 2003. Lieutenant Blackwell was the MAOT that went in with SEAL team 3 and was on the ground for an hour before bringing in the helicopters carrying 40 Commando RM. Passed the All Arms Commando Course in September 1999. Served in the MAOT from 1999 to 2004.
